Cold calling and telemarketing are two different approaches to marketing. Cold calling involves reaching out to potential customers without them having expressed prior interest in your product or service, while telemarketing involves contacting people who have already shown an interest in your company’s offerings through a previous interaction such as signing up for a newsletter. In terms of success rate, cold calling tends to be more hit-or-miss than telemarketing since you’re trying to capture the attention of someone who may not even be interested in what you have to offer. However, it can still be effective when done correctly.
