The key to successful cold calling is preparation. You must do your research on the company, person you are calling, and product or service you are offering. Then create a script that outlines what you would like to say. It’s important to be polite yet confident when speaking with someone over the phone. Remember, if they don’t feel comfortable talking to you they won’t listen! Also try personalizing the call by using their name or mentioning something about them (if it applies). Lastly, always end calls with an open-ended question so that there can be further conversation if needed.
