Cold calling in poker is when a player calls two or more bets before the flop. It’s an advanced move that can be highly effective if done correctly. This tactic gives you information about your opponent, including how strong their hand is and what type of betting style they use – all without having to commit too many chips to the pot. However, it also carries with it some risks so understanding when and why to cold call will help you make better decisions at the table.
