Cold-calling is one of the oldest sales techniques out there. It involves contacting potential customers directly, without prior contact or agreement from them – hence the term ‘cold’ call. Cold calling can be a great way to build relationships with prospects and generate leads for your business, but it does have its downsides: it can take up valuable time and resources; you might not always get through to people who are interested in what you’re selling; and there is the chance that some of your calls will fall flat! The key to successful cold-calling is preparation, research, practice…and persistence!
