Cold calling is an often dreaded activity within sales. It involves contacting customers who have not expressed any interest in the particular product or service you are trying to sell them. The goal of cold calling is to generate leads and ultimately, close a sale. Cold calling requires persistence, confidence and most importantly, patience – as it can be quite difficult to make successful connections with potential customers on the first try!
