When cold calling a prospect, it is important to set the tone for an engaging conversation. Start off by introducing yourself and your company. Explain why you are reaching out and how you think the product or service can help them reach their goals. Then ask open-ended questions that allow them to explain themselves and give insight into their business needs. Finally, end with some kind of call-to-action that will initiate further communication – such as suggestions for meeting times or additional information about your product/service that they may find helpful in making a decision.
